john rizzo, executive director

Mr. Rizzo is a former state legislator from Independence who served for 14 years in the Missouri House and Senate. Born and raised in Jackson County, Rizzo received a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in English in 2004 from Rockhurst University. In addition to his service in the Missouri General Assembly, Rizzo served on Truman Medical Center board and is a former member of the Kansas City Planning Commission. In 2022, as a State Senator, Rizzo sponsored and passed critical legislation to help bring the FIFA World Cup to Kansas City, Missouri. John and his wife Lindsay reside in Jackson County with their two daughters.

Anna Mincher, Director of finance

Ms. Mincher joined the Authority staff in May 2015 after interning with the Authority since October 2014.  She graduated Cum Laude from Rockhurst University in 2015 with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. Since joining the Authority, she has played an integral role in the financial and business operations of managing the Truman Sports Complex.

John McLelland, Landscaping Manager

Mr. McLelland worked for the Kansas City Royals for 2 years before joining the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority. He has previously worked for Unity Village Landscaping for 5 years from 1995-2000. He also worked for the City of Lee’s Summit landscaping for 11 years prior.

Kent Williams, Contracted Construction Manager

Mr. Williams owns Wilco Construction, Inc. He has been with the authority since 2005 and played a large part in the renovations of both Kauffman and Arrowhead Stadiums.
